The forty-four works featured on this site showcase an artistic technique refined over three decades, with a focus on the beauty and endless possibilities of paper as a medium.

Drawing is fundamental to the visual content of my artwork. As I make random marks on paper and incorporate the expressive results of an erasure, ideas gradually materialize and take shape. Within that context, I utilize archival glue and a powerful press to glue together layers of 4ply plate Bristol paper, involving anywhere from 2 up to 35 sheets. I then achieve a sculpted surface by carving and utilizing various tools and equipment. Upon completing the sculpting process, I proceed to apply a range of mediums on the paper’s surface. These may include dry pigments, flake and powdered graphite, powdered mica, oxidized metals, as well as gold, palladium and copper leaf. The resulting interplay of color, texture, light and shadows are designed to captivate the viewer through the manipulation of tangible and illusionary depth, while inviting exploration of futuristic narratives and concepts.
